Monday Monday

Well here it is a new week. Today we had our last Jumping Beans class for the term. Next term Isla moves up to the next level so looking forward to that.

And had some cool friends over for lunch: Lesley, Jo and her kids and Annie, an online buddy who I had never met before though it certainly didn't feel like we'd just met having known each other online for many years now! Just too cool. Unfortunately my camera died on me before i got some group photos, then of course i managed to get it going again after everyone had left! Anyway here is a shot i got of Isla, Keira and Cole playing together - 3 little cuties!

And check this out! I just bought this off Etsy. The name of the shop is Sugarloop and she's based right here in Auckland - how amazing is that? Isn't this the cutest print? Can't wait to get it.
And go Team NZ! So cool that they won this morning - 4 to go now. And if you go to this page here you'll see a picture of my hubby! Quite an old pic really, lol.

More proof.

Where has the time gone? I can't believe i haven't updated for so long!

So last Friday i went to a Stampin' Up workshop at Jo's house. Was loads of fun, thanks heaps for the cool demonstration Janine! And I spent some money on stamps, not as much as i could have tho!

This week I have been doing some layouts for Scrapbook Studio using some Rhonna Farrer French Twist papers (very nice and bright!) and also some Daisy D's papers. Will share those layouts soon - I want to do at least one more first. Its so nice to actually do some layouts for me. I feel like I've been finishing class projects etc for a while now. Tho to be fair I have got a bit sidetracked on a few other crafty things - at the moment i'm in the middle of knitting a teddy for Isla, nearly finished now. Will be the first thing I've ever knitted so feeling quite chuffed.

And here's more proof that my girl is in fact, a girl. Wearing Mum's shoes and carrying her handbag around.

She's definitely a girl

She likes shoes and handbags. Ok so Mum's shoes.

She also likes Mum's handbags. But now she has her own one. Courtesy of Pumpkin Patch. Ain't it cute?
What's in your bag Isla?

And today we went and checked out Kelly Tarlton's. Very cool.

Meet TomTom

TomTom is a slightly manic tiger who likes to go nightclubbing - see his miniskirt? Lol. This is for the latest dare over at No 8 Wired. Had so much fun with this one and I guess Isla will too. She has an obsession with tigers - already has one stuffed tiger and loves to see the tigers at the zoo so i thought why not make her another one. And here's the result.

Layout complete

Here's my WIP from yesterday all complete. I really like how this came out. So bright and cheery which is how it makes me feel. Awww, warm fuzzies!

Just put up my dare over at No 8 Wired with a day to spare! Don't know why it took me so long to put it up, I've had it done for weeks. Just lazy!

And how about this? Lesley pointed this out to me this afternoon - that's my layout on the For Keeps website advertising the next issue. How cool!

WIP and other randomness

Here is my current Work-in-Progress. Its another Emily Falconbridge designed layout similar to this one I did at Crafting Connection.

There's also this. I'm making a crochet blanket - it was meant to be a baby blanket for a friend who was having a baby. Ok so she had the baby back in January so now its going to be a dolls blanket for Isla.

Tonight's dinner - Chicken Cacciatore - bubbling away in our new slow cooker. Purchased yesterday at the Queen's Birthday sales. Yummo!

Silly self-portraits - we have a camera with a flip-around screen so Isla thinks its the best thing being able to see herself. Unfortunately my arm isn't long enough!

And having fun with her new animals we got at the zoo on Thursday. This first photo just cracks me up - look at that expression!

Been to the zoo, zoo, zoo

So lately, Isla has been fascinated with getting the potatoes and onions out of the cupboard and carrying them back and forth, as you do when you're 1 1/2 years old. Which is all very well but you do tend to get onion skin dropped around the house. But I just had to laugh when I went to put my shoes on and saw this:

Had a fantastic day yesterday at the zoo - the weather gods put on a lovely day for us. Met up with Jo and her 2 kidlets, and also Sarah and Gillian from coffee group and their 2 boys.

And on our way back past the giraffe enclosure, we spotted the 2 ostriches getting jiggy wit it! OMG that big boy was so proud of himself afterwards, strutting back and forth - seemed like he was going "yeah i'm the man!" and his wife was like "yeah whatever". LMAO!!!! And no, i didn't get a photo of that!!!

Oh and Trina, let me know when you're next going. We may be able to meet up.
