Wahoo

Got some new blinkies loaded up on the side there for No 8 Wired and Scrapbooking By Design. Yay. And I have a new banner to load soon too.
And they're all working too I think.

Edited: So now i've got my new banner up - bit of a dorky pic i know but hey i like it. So what do you reckon about the white background for the blog - should i stick with it or go back to black? I'm undecided about it - might leave it for a bit and see if I like it.

Cards

Yeah so i guess it was time i updated this blog. Just got back from having a coffee with Trina and Donna. Was great to meet you Donna! So nice to go out for a chat - have felt a bit housebound over the weekend.

I've been busy doing some cards. Did some birthday cards but I can't show you those because you just never know if they're gonna stop by for a look here. But here's a baby shower card for my friend Lia. I made this from a digi kit called Little Birdy from Designer Digitals - so cute!

And this is the invite for Isla's 1st birthday - my god is it only 6 weeks away?!! Ok looks kind of funny because i've deleted out all the personal stuff on there but you get the picture.

So now I really need to do my xmas cards - i need to get a santa hat so i can do a proper photo shoot - why not right?

Busy

Working hard scrapping at the moment. I'm putting together my entries for a couple of design team comps so hopefully i'll get those off in time. Well one i've finished so that's no problem and the other one i'm on the last project so hopefully they'll like my stuff. If not, no matter, i'm really pleased with the layouts and projects i've done.

Those polaroid frames in my last post are a photoshop file and all you do is import your photo. It comes with a filter already on the file but you can remove it or change the colour. I quite like the filters on there - gives an interesting look i think.

And here are some cool sites:
This is a blog showcasing multi-photo layouts. Pretty cool idea and i notice some kiwi girls have had layouts on there.
Journaller's Junction has a whole lot of challenges to get us journalling. I need to have a closer look at this one - haven't managed that yet.
One of my favourite sites for the pure eye candy is Print & Pattern. This site showcases all sorts of home decor products because of their cool designs. Its even had scrapbooking paper on there. I think its great for showing different combinations of colours and interesting designs. Always worth a look.

Ok later.

This is so cool.

Found these frames which mimic the look of old Polaroid photos. Also got some that mimic Hasselblad photo frames and other Kodak type prints too. Just way cool. Had to put them on a white background so they could be seen on this blog - I wonder if I can change the edges to white - probably. I haven't played around with them much yet but you'll be sure to be seeing them on a layout soon!

Scraproom pics and others

So here are some pics from my new rearranged scraproom. I've tidied up heaps and put just about everything in containers - the necessity of having a baby who's just starting to get on the move! I'm really loving having my own desk now. Before the computer would share my desk, now it has its own desk so I can scrap and Daryl can play games right beside me. Works good. And yes its nice and cosy which i'm liking. I've got to a point where I really don't need every new thing that comes out, therefore less clutter. This is good. So the blue jars have my ribbon in them - i got them from Briscoes. And the little drawers on my desk are holding mounted stamps and inks - those that fit - and i got the drawers from Spotlight and painted them with testpots. Cute eh?

Ok and here are some cute pics of Isla just because. Donna was asking how the Safety Sleep was going. Well. So we've had it for 2 weeks now, and she can undo it! Go figure. She's not undoing it all the time yet and even when she has and the one time it was in the wash and not on the bed, she didn't wriggle herself around. So maybe it will all work out.

In the meantime here's my latest layout for the NZ dare blog. Loving my new stamps!
