Sunday

End of a long week and a long night last night. Isla woke up last night at 1am, something she's been doing for a few nights now, but last night she was also sick, so 2 1/2 hours later she finally crashes and we can get her back to bed. So we're all feeling a bit tired this morning. Yesterday she didn't want to have an afternoon sleep so she's a bit behind in her sleep at the moment.

I've just finished reading Peter Jackson's biography - quite interesting though riddled with grammar and spelling errors which bugs me. I mean what are proof readers for? So anyway got me interested in Lord of the Rings again so we've started to watch the films again. Its taking us a wee while though - we've been watching Fellowship of the Ring for 2 nights now and still haven't finished it!

I went to Stamp Zone yesterday and got some new HeroArts stamps - these ones. Though they're rather expensive there (I also got some off TradeMe for $25 cheaper!), it was interesting to see what they had in as I hadn't been there for a year or two. And actually it wasn't much worth seeing so won't be back in a hurry. I'm all for the online stores these days - they have such better ranges and the latest products and always better prices too.

Here is my layout I did for the Dares this week. This is Isla's first passport photo. Journalling says: "We call this your stunned mullet look". Rofl. Amazingly she posed well for the shot as they're very picky about the photo these days. I think she was so stunned that some stranger was taking her photo that she just didn't know what to do!

Busy week

Last week I did 4 layouts! Yes, 4! I believe that is a record for me. Three of them are for Scrapbooking By Design - you can see them here. And the other one is for the Dare site. Though my layout is yet to go up - will be going up tomorrow.

The She's All That layout was one I started last Thursday at Trina's house. A group of us went there to crop together. However not much got done! I think I only stuck down about 5 teensy strips of paper, lol. Was great fun though, catching up with friends I hadn't seen in a while.

I have a layout I need to do using stamping so this weekend I'm off to purchase some new stamps - bummer eh? They need to be a particular brand that I have some of already but I'd just like to see what else is available. I think I need something new and fresh.

Isla has slept the last 2 nights without her Safety Sleep which is really nice because she was turning over a lot and then getting stuck. And its a big pain in the ass having to get up a couple of times in the night just to turn her back over. So the last 2 nights its worked not using it, only problem now is she's managed to wiggle up the bed and out of her sheets so she's got cold. Aaargh! Might have to raise the cot a bit at the top end I guess.

Here is a cute pic of her the other day sitting in a frypan. Why you may ask? Why indeed. Then again why not? At the moment she has a bit of a bruise on her cheek from running with saucepans and falling over onto one! Poor wee thing.

Design Team work

For Scrapbooking By Design for January. We all did different off the page projects this month. I got a Cosmo Cricket cigar box to alter and a little mini album for inside using the Cosmo Cricket Love Notes range. So mine has photos of Daryl and I and things we've done together.

I'm currently working on my February layouts. Just finished one, have another half done and possibly a couple more and some cards planned. Phew! Also gotta do a layout for the Dare site too but I have that one mostly figured out in my head - hope to get onto that tomorrow.

Been a busy morning too. Isla has figured out how to open the pot draw - oh yay! So she brings a pot lid and throws it over the gate to my office. Only problem is its a glass lid and the floor is tiled so of course it shatters and there's glass everywhere. Oh well, had to happen sooner or later I guess.

We've just finished the little front garden out by the bbq too. All except for getting the riverstones to put on top of the weed matting so i'm very happy about that. I'm trying to get out into the garden more while its summer and spending less time on the computer. That's the theory anyway.

And some more

OMG I am loving FancyPants. They have some cool papers coming out - this is my favourite: Key Lime Pie. But the stamps, hold me back! These are my favourites that I've seen. These are definitely on my must-buy list! Love, love, love them!

Yummy stuff

Been checking out some of the new scrapbooking products at CHA. Here's some Fontwerks and BasicGrey love! Re the Basic Grey I really like the Perhaps and the Stella Ruby, the Phoebe line is ok, still undecided about Scarlet's Letter.
