Duh!!

So I was looking at the pics of the minialbum and thought there's just something not quite right. Then it dawned on me ... I forgot to put a title on the front!!! What a dunce! Hahahahaha!
Will have to fix that today. And thanks everyone for your comments, I appreciate it.

Mini-album

Here's the mini-album I did over the weekend. Had a lot of fun doing this and want to do more. Been inspired by Cathy Zielske to do more of these about little things, the things and pictures that make you happy, make you smile.
I can't really take any credit for this - i was inspired by one I saw by Tia Bennett over at 2peas but it was fun to do anyway.
The album is by Maya Road, patterned papers by Anna Griffin and Making Memories, Rubons by 7Gypsies and K&Co, Stamp by 7Gypsies, Ink by Ranger, Pen by American Crafts, Gaffer Tape by 7Gypsies and various digital brushes.

I have been creating

and I can't believe a week has gone by since I last posted - what a bad blogger I am! I have been busy busy busy getting layouts to enter the For Keeps Elite Team contest. Thought I'd give it a go and see if I could get 5 layouts by the due date then I'll enter. So far I've done nearly 3, so not too bad going. I got a bit sidetracked over the weekend and did a minialbum - will upload pics tomorrow. And my new favourite products are Gaffer Tape (I know, i've only just actually bought some), Distress Ink and my new 7 Gypsies Express Stamp. Loving them.

In the meantime here are some pics of Isla.
1. Just after the bath looking a bit like a Jawa, lol.

2. Playing at her activity table.

3. With one of her playmates, Ben.

Uh oh!!!

So this afternoon when I went to get Isla up after her nap this is how I found her! Ok so her head is supposed to be at the other end of her cot. This is the first time she's ever really moved around in the cot let alone do a complete 180! She's usually pretty placid about lying there but not today. She had the biggest grin on her face when she saw me so of course I ran to get the camera! As you do. Lol.

Weekend activities

Nice, relaxing family weekend together. On Saturday we went to some friends for lunch. Interesting to see the interaction between all the kids - they have a 4 yr old and a 2 yr old. Both were quite interested in Isla. And Daryl, Richard and Brian all got roped into building a meccano crane with Felix. I didn't have my camera with me but was classic as they all had to wear hard hats tho Daryl got the short straw and had to wear a welding helmet.
Sunday we went for a nice walk down to the park and the beach. Great to get out and have some fresh air and see the water.

Later in the afternoon Isla had great fun on the Swiss ball - she loves to be rolled back and forth on it. And now its also great fun to stand beside it and hold on. She gets extremely excited - great to see.

Girls night out

For me and the girls in my coffee group. So nice to spend some time together away from our babies and just kick back, enjoy some good food, wine and company. Was so much fun to go out for dinner with Victoria, Sarah, Sharon, Nikki, Gillian and Sherid. Hopefully next time Aimee and Clare can make it. Thanks so much for organising it Sarah and looking forward to doing it again!

More pics from CC06

Ok more pics from the weekend to share.
Swap pins and my name tag which Donna Downey thought was cool. Oh and by the way i'm in a picture on her blog. This one here - in the group photo - ok so I'm right at the back, 4th from the right and that's Lucy next to me and Tana Banana in front of me and Tracy is there too.

Me and Lesley at Auckland airport looking like we've got up far too early. Me and Nic with Chloe, Kate's gorgeous wee girl.

The KP girls at the crop on Friday night. Left to right: Kris, Lesley, Nic, Tana, Lucy, Tania and me.

I had so much fun tho next year i'll definitely stay for longer so I can catch up with people more. It was a real rush cramming it all into 2 days but sure was cool. I've been scrapping hard over the last couple of days to finish off all my projects. I really want to get them done because now I'm in minialbum mode. Want to do more!

CC06 - Wow!

Wow what an awesome weekend it was in Wellington for Crafting Connection 06. So much fun, catching up with friends, meeting new people, doing awesome projects and classes with some of my scrapping idols.
And the swap pin thing was cool! I never knew and i managed to swap all of my pins so hi to everyone who swapped with me! Ok so I can't get my pic of all my swap pins to load for some reason. Will try on another post.
So these are the cool projects I did.

Here's me and Lucy with Ali Edwards.

And Donna Downey - what a riot she is!

Ready to go!

All my scrapping gear is packed and i'm ready to go to Welly. My Rhonna stamps even turned up today so that was good timing eh? I'm not taking much as i don't really expect to do too much at the crop but you never know.
So tomorrow me and Isla are heading down to Onehunga and we're spending the night there at Nana and Grandad's house. It's just that little bit closer to the airport and ever so handy that Brian actually works there too so can drop me off in the morning. Lesley and I are flying down at 7am (please pray for no fog!) and our first class is at 11 - that's your one Nic, so I hope you've got that powerpoint done! Oh and Lucy, seems like you need to send the guys your chocolate!

Isla turned 8 months old on Tuesday - where does the time go? We think she's close to getting her first tooth so will be interesting to see if anything happens while i'm away. Or we could be just completely wrong, again. Here's some photos i took yesterday. Ok those last two crack me up. Is that not the biggest mouth ever?!!

A new week

Only a few days to go now till Crafting Connection - getting pretty excited now. And will be so cool to catch up with everyone - shame not everyone can make it so a big shoutout to Annie, Ruth, Jo and Jan. Just got to organise what i want to take for the crop - probably not too much i think.

Isla pic sharetime. Her and her sippy cup which she loves now that we've changed to a different cup. She really associates it with her meals and loves to suck on it and most of the time its the right end! Ok so she may not actually be getting much water - its mostly going down her front but the idea is there at least.

Also best of luck to Trina and Evana, now well overdue with their babies. Hope it goes well for you guys.
Later.

Ok so I really must do my homework

OMG only a week to CC! I have so got to do my homework - still, shouldn't take too long i hope! Looking forward to it tho - Ali had a sneak peak on her blog today of one of the classes i'm doing - looks very cool so can't wait.
And a big shout out to everyone who left comments about my swap pins. Feeling the love here! So I guess I better finish them then huh?

Today Isla and I went to her Nana Margie's house. Isla stayed there while I went to the scrapbook store to get some last minute supplies. She had loads of fun and even got to play the piano. If I knew how to set up a podcast I'd show the movie I took but we'll have to settle for some pics.
