Offline.

So i'm typing this on D's laptop at his work because on Weds our house got burgled and heaps of stuff stolen including my computer. Which of course had all our photos and lots of my scrapbooking stuff on it. I had some of it backed up but like a lot of people had been "getting around" to doing it again. So all i can say is Do A Backup Now! And not sure when I'll be back.

She's on the move!

Well, things are really moving along here now, literally. In the past week Isla has figured out she can cruise around the house on her own by holding onto the furniture, walls etc. And over the weekend she's figured out crawling too! Yay! Kind of funny really, she can walk really well holding onto my hands or even with one hand she's pretty good and has been doing that for a while so much so that we didn't think she would crawl. But now its just happened pretty much overnight so that's really cool. She was getting really frustrated about not being able to get anywhere on her own. Over the weekend we safetyproofed the house too, and just in time it seems! She's figured out how to open cupboards and pull books off shelves. Right now she's found the bookshelf in the office that has my scrapbook idea books on it, hmmm.

Ok so here's a cool photo idea i did over the weekend. I set the camera up on the tripod and took photos every now and then when she had moved and photoshopped them all together. I love it! Will have to do more of these.

Worldwide Dare and a Visit

How cool is this? Four dare sites from NZ, Australia, USA and the UK hooked up last night for a combined worldwide dare! Go check it out at No 8 Wired where we mix it up with the Effer Girls, the Aussie Dares and the UK Speshal Girls. This was so much fun! Here's my layout for it - this is a photo of my mum as a wee girl. I love this photo.

















And yesterday we went and visited Jo and her two children Kiera and Cole who is the same age as Isla, and Lesley and Amanda came over too. Was so great to catch up - must do it again soon. Here's a pic of the kidlets on the couch. Isla is getting one of many hugs from Amanda!

And my emails are playing up at the moment because of some Ihug problem - they seem to have gone missing in cyberspace - its so annoying!

Things to do today.

Finish off my layout for tomorrow's dare - promises to be a good one! Make sure to check it out!
Post a couple of cards to rellies who have just had babies.
We're off to coffee group soon so that will be nice for Isla to see her boyfriends!
Meeting up with Daryl later.
Hope to maybe get out into the garden - its such a gorgeous day.
Still not sure about the white background for the blog but i'll leave it a bit longer to see if its growing on me.
